New Mesh and Recolors Again!

Whoopee! So, I've started taking a class on top of my full time job! Which means that I don't have a lot of time to mesh. BUT, I did do a recolor of a mesh I published on TS2Creations and MTS2 over a year ago. The set (2 recolors and the mesh) will publish on Friday of this week (the 19th.)

I also did a new mesh for little girls, this one has puffy sleeves and wedge shoes.
The set will publish on the 26th.

I've uploaded the following meshes to be published at TSR. The first is published already and the next will be published Monday the 31st. The third will be published on the 7th or 8th (I can't remember which.) and the fourth will be published the following week. I hope to keep things going like this, but I'm starting a class and I'm not sure if I will have the time to upload. If I don't then I will be disappointed, but I'm sure I'll come back to it as always!

Well, I've started creating for Sims again. I've been so busy and really just wiped out. It's not that I didn't want to create, it was just that I had nothing left at the end of the day! I just wanted to veg out and watch the tube. BUT, my creative juices are flowing again and I've already screwed up a mesh! :) I'm working on a sundress for spring/summer and will post pics when I'm done.

I have 4 days off-1 will be taken up with the holiday festivities. I plan on using 2 to make meshes for both TSR and ts2creations. I'm so excited, I have a whole line of meshes in mind.

Wonky Programs and Crashing Computers = wasted weekend!

Friday morning I woke up to a computer that wouldn't work. It looked suspiciously like a virus had eaten my hard drive. I turned the computer off (it wouldn't boot) and went to work. When I got home, I did a reinstall, being careful to leave the files INTACT so that I could salvage stuff--I was able to do virus scans and found nothing but a spyware program on my son's profile. Fine, I deleted, then did a deep scan--I was tired and it was taking a long time so I went to bed. I got up this morning to even worse problems. I got my computer up and running just enough to copy my saved custom content to a portable drive, but it was unstable so I had to format both drives and reinstall the OS. Three times I did this today. NOT FUN. And no matter how enticing IE7 is, don't do it unless you are sure you want it. I thought, sure go ahead and get the latest! That is what prompted install #3, I had to scrub that horrid program off this drive. Well, all clean, Sims reinstalled and now to put my precious Custom content back in. I actually think that one of the programs I downloaded (to take better screenies) the other night crashed my system. I'm not sure, though. No pics as everything is on the portable drive and I'm simply knackered. It's 320 am here. Off to bed and deal with the rest tomorrow.

Well, I couldn't get the bumps to work on my latest mesh. I really don't know what I did wrong. Also, I dumped the pregnant morph as it wasn't working that well. I uploaded it at MTS2 and Suzy should have it up at ts2creations as well. :)

I'm working on a new mesh set for adult females. It'll actually be accessable for all FA, YA, and Elder. I still need to fix it to be compatible with all expansions and figure out where I'm going to post it. I guess I should post it at TSR, but--and no offense to TSR--they've been really flooded with meshes because they are now hosting the creations of some other sites.

I'm really not very excited about posting my meshes at TSR right now. I create meshes with skinners in mind. I don't see a lot of other FA's recoloring my meshes--they use stuff from free sites. Maybe I shouldn't grouse here, but I'm tired and sick and have no where else to grouse.

Playing Pets!

Well, I took a break from creating today and played my game for the first time in a while. I love Pets! I know a lot of creators are uninstalling it until there's a fix, but I'm just using Dr. Pixel's fix Simpe fix until they come out with a patch.

I also want to add that it's raining like crazy in the Seattle area. Lots of flooding and stuff. Makes for a good excuse to sit inside and play sims 2!

That one is about adding a new part as an alpha group to a mesh.

Here is a new mesh I just completed. I'm making a set for TSR from it now. I've been wanting to do this style of dress for a while and we've been watching old movies and this idea just keeps haunting me. It's a fifties swing skirt with a sleeveless blouse with a collar. The collar SHOULD be higher, but I wanted it to be a bit more modern. Hope you like it!

I've been busy at work and tired when I get home, so not as much time for creating as I'd like! It's a good thing I work, or I'd probably do sims stuff 100% of the time. Anyway, I did a plus-size swim skirt and a variation on my mesh at Suzy's--> the shee babydoll over slacks... then I did some recolors of the Messy pjs that are at TSR. I'm working on a teen mesh that I just can't get quite right. And I still owe Linda a tutorial on alpha parts. I'm getting requests at TSR for that too. I'm not good at writing tutorials, I think.

The first set is at TSR. The second mesh and set are at ts2creations. And Buntah at Linda's Sims 2 has already recolored the second mesh!

Oregon was fabulous. I came back to a mess at work though so I've been tired when I get home. All my spare time has been spent relaxing doing some meshes or sleeping!!

I had a mesh almost ready to go, but it will have to hold until after the weekend. I'm heading to the Oregon Coast to visit my in-laws. Then I'll have a hectic day on Monday, but should be able to finish my project by Tuesday or Wednesday!

Here are my two favorites of this 4 dress set. I made 6 total, but the red turned out quite bad and the "blossom" one just didn't quite go with these fairly formal looking dresses. The dress has flaired sleeves and is a little longer and more fitted than the original. Also the skirt flairs more and there is more of a heel to the saddle shoe. I hope it pleases.

I finally finished my teen pj set. It's very sheer and probably not appropriate at all. lol But when have I EVER been appropriate? I sent the set to Suzy, but I'm not sure if she'll want it.
And here is a recolor set of my sheer nightie. I also made a white and black version (white super short, black super sheer.) I've sent a lot of stuff to Suzy, so I'll give her a break and sit on these for a day or two.

They're really, they're modified from some adult female meshes to be elder female. I'm sick of my grannies turning into old sag bags. They still hunch, because that's the animation--but their tits don't go to their knees. I made a nude and a dress. Also, Buntah has some great granny meshes. I made mine in my own style though, huge tits, wide hips, and slender waists. :)

Look for the new meshes at TS2Creations within the next day or two. The nude mesh is at MTS2 right now. Enjoy! Oh, sorry for the absence. I'm feeling better now.

Unless I feel significantly better by tomorrow I won't be working on Sims 2 anything. I've been getting more and more sick as the week has progressed. I have the weekend off and need to take time to heal, so I think I'm going to do some major bonding with the sofa this weekend. My throat is itchy, my sinuses hurt, my stomach is rolling, my head is aching. Tomorrow they say it's going to rain all day, which will be wonderful for lying in bed with my covers over my head.

My mesh had a hole right on the boob. There was 1 vertice that was assigned to the spine instead of the clavicle. And it caused the thing to stretch into the mesh boob. Then the sleeves of the robe were too close to the arms and when the arms were bent, the sleeves disappeared into the forearms. They're all fixed now. I'm still not making any progress on that tutorial. I've been so wiped lately and now I realize it's because I have a nasty cold or something. Itchy eyes, scratchy throat, you name it. Hubby is sick and we share everything so... now my goal is not to spread it further. BUT, I will do that tutorial by Saturday, come Hell or Highwater.

Oh, I almost forgot to say: He also bought me a new monitor! It's beautiful and so fun to look at. I just wish I had the energy to do anything!

15 years ago today.

My father died 15 years ago today. I tossed and turned all last night. I thought I was over his death, but I guess one can't ever really be over losing one's parent. I think it's worse because we never really said goodbye, even though he was very sick. He kept the severity of his illness from me until there was no hope and then he was gone so quickly and I was left bitter and angry that the father I had just begun to get to know had been taken away from me.

In his Will he asked for his ashes to be scattered in the Pacific Ocean, the body of water he spent so much of his life on as a career Navy man. And I am still in possession of his ashes. They sit on my book case, overlooking our living room in a beautiful urn. My sons enjoy pointing the urn out to their buddies, "That's my grandpa," they say to first time guests. They like watching their friends eyes widen in fright or awe. I find comfort in knowing that he is with us. But, I have a growing sense of duty to let him go. Perhaps it's because the boys are growing up. Perhaps the hurt little girl in me has finally accepted that she will never really know her father.

For me today, it is like I'm losing him all over again.

Tutorial writing!

I'm trying to write a tutorial for Buntah's site! Yay!!?? My goodness, I never realized how much I do automatically. Having to think about what I'm doing, then write it and take pictures of it. Well, what I thought would take a few hours is going to take a bit more, I think. I'll have to finish it tomorrow or the next day, depending on when I get home.

I've just finished this mesh w/texture and Suzy loaded onto ts2creations tonight. I then started working on a new mesh for teens. It's another pj mesh, but this time an alpha. It may be too racy for ts2creations... I've done so much editing on these two meshes tonight, my eyes are swimming. I love it though!

Monday through Friday I work from 630 am (sometimes earlier depending on the amount of stuff I have to get done) to 3 pm (sometimes later depending on how many guest issues kept me from getting my stuff done!)
I then drive through Seattle traffic to my home. This drive take me 10-15 minutes in the am. In the afternoon it CAN take considerably longer depending on how late I leave.
Lately I've had no energy when I get home. I barely take lunch breaks at work. Yesterday I went into my bedroom to change out of my work clothes and couldn't resist laying down for just a second. I woke up at 8am this morning.
So, today I mesh. I've got to go back and look through the requests I've recieved lately. I think Cloissone has a request--but it seems like I have more on the list.

I really do like getting mesh requests. So, if any of you have mesh requests, please ask away. I make no promises, but if it's interesting I'll do it!

I love to make custom content for the Sims 2 and was up until recently a featured artist for a prominent site.
